Have any questions

It can be daunting to reach out to a therapist for the first time – but equally could be one of the best things you might do in order to begin to look at the difficulties in your life right now.  Below there is a form for you to do just that.  Alternatively use the ‘Call Sue’ button above.

Important FAQ’s

I work from my home in Brettenham, near Stowmarket in a separate and self-contained consulting room.  I also work as part of The Bury Practice for Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I am an independent practitioner and am happy to receive personal and business referrals.

Coronavirus crisis: Please note that I am still working in these difficult times but only via Skype, FaceTime or telephone until this crisis is over.

Whilst the first session is very much an assessment session it is important that you also feel safe and contained enough to begin to tell your story. It can take a lot of courage to consider entering therapy and at this point you will also be gauging whether or not you feel comfortable enough to return and embark on what can be a life changing experience. My aim is to offer you a safe and contained space in order that you feel that you would like to continue working with me.

I work with individuals and couples and offer both short-term and long-term therapy. I also provide supervision. People often contact me directly but I also receive referrals from the NHS, Occupational Health Departments and Employment Assistance Providers (EAPs). Having worked for a bereavement charity I have a particular interest in working with grief and bereavement. Clients who have recently been bereaved are often in a state of psychic shock and some liken this to walking through a dense fog. The many conflicting feelings that are experienced are often difficult and confusing to make sense of and my aim is to provide an opportunity to talk in private in order to begin to explore these tumultuous feelings.
